America, we lift you high
To heaven in our prayers…
We come before the throne of God
Because we know He cares.

Lord, give us peace among ourselves
From sea to shining sea…
Grant us wisdom to become
The nation we should be.

Forgive us for the many ways
We’ve failed to do your will…
In spirit and in truth we ask,
Can we have freedom, still?

Renew the peace within our world
We pray it’s not too late…
Provide a haven on this earth,
A shelter in this place.

But if we can’t go back again
To innocence of mind…
Then grant us courage to endure
The time we’ve left to find.

That we may love a little more
And fear a little less…
That we may trust You, as we go
And in our hearts, find rest.
